Some observations on LA CITY’s BOYS performances in 2021 versus 2016-2019:
BOYS in the TOP 50% performed better in ‘21 while athletes in the lower 50% did not.
FRESHMAN in the 40% category and SOPHOMORE in the 10% category averaged better times in ‘21.
JUNIORS IN LOWEST 10% showed improvements versus previous years.
FRESHMAN IN LOWEST 10% were hit the hardest with declines in performance of 12.31% - 15.6% in ‘21.

Like the boys, City girls performances were well off previous years. Some observations on LA CITY’s BOYS performances in 2021 versus 2016-2019:
GIRLS in the TOP 50% performed better in ‘21 while athletes in the lower 50% did not.
SENIOR GIRLS outperformed their counterparts in previous years in each of the top 5 10% segments.
JUNIOR GIRLS had the best overall performance levels in ‘21 compared to previous years.
GIRLS IN THE LOWEST 10% were hit the hardest with a 12.31% - 15.6% reduction in ‘21 performances.
Freshmen and Sophomores in ‘21 had the worst overall performances when compared to previous years.
GIRLS IN THE LOWEST 10% fared the worst when compared to previous years.
